How we communicate
We greatly value our partnership with parents and communicate in a variety of ways.
As you have requested we will still continue to produce paper copies of our newsletters. However, we are keen to improve our carbon footprint and use digital communication as much as we can.
Whole school newsletters are sent out once a term and class newsletters are found on our class pages under the ‘Our Children’ section of the website.
We have our school app which we will use to send quick messages to you. Instructions for downloading our app can be found on this page.
We have a Facebook page ‘Victoria Road Primary School’ and will upload any forthcoming events on this. Please follow us to help spread the word of our school achievements!

We have an open door policy. A member of staff will always be on the gate in the mornings and evenings to welcome parents and children into the school.
If you have a problem and would like to speak to a member of staff it is suggested that you initially speak to your child’s class teacher first. There will be times that staff are unavailable but if you can make contact through the School Office, they will be able to book a time to speak to the correct member of staff as soon as possible.
This is not the only method we communicate with parents and carers. There are parent consultation sessions, drop in sessions and special events.
