Welcome to our last term at Victoria road Primary School! By now you should have received the newsletter which sets out all of our important dates for the term.
We have been discussing a trip to Pizza Express at the end of term for the children to attend as an evening event. I will contact the restaurant this week regarding availability and prices this week and will send out a letter next week to offer the event to the children. Do make sure you keep a careful eye on letters coming home this term as we have so many fun events planned!
Below you will find a medium term overview of the children's foundation learning, as well as a copy of the newsletter. I have also uploaded some photos of the learning the children have already been doing this term!

Welcome back to Term 2 in Year 6! This is promising to be a busy term so be sure to look out for those all-important letters coming home and check the website regularly for whole school news and events!
We had a fantastic week of collaborative learning last week which culminated in our visit to the Ashford Memorial Gardens to participate in the Remembrance Service. In addition, the children have written some very thought-provoking poetry in the style of World War I poets - there is a stunning display of their work outside the Year 6 classroom; please feel free to pop in and visit any afternoon after 3pm - it really is of very high quality and the children are justifiably proud of their hard work.
Below is the newsletter for Term 2, which includes all of the information about subjects and topics the children will be following this term. Following Mrs Carr taking up residence every Wednesday in Class 6, I shall update the timetable accordingly and post it on here in due course.
Please take some time to go through the pictures below from last Friday's Memorial service. I shall also upload some of the children's poetry so that, if you are not able to visit the display, you will be able to read it on here.
